NICOLE STAMP is an award-winning director, writer, producer, host, and actor with a  multifaceted background. Nicole's has been nominated for 6 Canadian Screen Awards in 4 different categories: Best Directing, Best Youth Series, Best Writing x2, and Best Host.

Stamp is the Creator-Writer-Host of MEDIA STAMPED, a new media literacy TV show for young audiences, commissioned by TELUS. It was nominated for a Writers Guild of Canada Award, the Canadian Screen Awards for Best Youth Series, Best Editing and Best Host, as well as winning an International Award of Honour from the prestigious Japan Prize.

Most recently, MEDIA STAMPED won the 2026 Prix Jeunesse International Theme Prize - a huge honour in children's TV, winning out of 400+ entries!

Stamp's narrative DIRECTING credits include episodes of The Next Step (7 episodes, CBBC), The Popularity Papers (4 episodes, BBC/YTV), Blue's Clues (3 episodes, PBS), Odd Squad (PBS), Lockdown (2 episodes, Family Channel), The Fabulous Show (3 episodes, Family Channel), Hare of High Park (TVO) and Teletubbies (Netflix). She's done a lot of kids TV and is very ready to apply those skills to more complex storylines!

Stamp started her career making Live TV for 10 years at TVOntario, so she's known for efficiency, flexibility, and her ability to get her day and find beautiful footage in any location! She has directed extensive unscripted and lifestyle content, including Family Feud Canada (CBC), The SPACE (TVOntario), and the after-shows for Murdoch Mysteries (CBC) and Between (Netflix).

Stamp is a recovering actor, which allows her to create deep rapport with talent of all ages. Many actors say they've done their career best work under her direction, and she has directed actors in performances that were nominated for multiple CSAs and a Daytime Emmy!

Stamp's own acting credits include roles on Locke & Key (Netflix), The Handmaid's Tale (Hulu), Hudson & Rex (CityTV), and Carmilla, the cult-hit webseries that won a Cannes Lion and got over 75 million views on YouTube. Stamp has improvised comedy with the Second City Canadian National Touring Company, been a featured singer on stages across Ontario, and voiced dozens of cartoon and video game characters, including roles for Disney, Ubisoft, and Cartoon Network.

Stamp is also an experienced acting teacher and passionate youth mentor who founded and directed the Artists Mentoring Youth's eOne Film training Program.

Stamp's storytelling skill is deeply informed by her work as a writer, including two WGC- nominated episodes of Lockdown (Family Channel), and The Snoopy Show (AppleTV). Having studied Evolutionary Biology at the University of Toronto, Stamp has also served as a Science Communications Consultant at the Banff Centre and on Apple TV's Snoopy In Space.
She has won a Toronto Arts Award for Excellence and Innovation in Theatre, and her writing on race and gender has gone so viral that CNN commissioned it for publication - twice!

Stamp's current obsession, I mean project, is FROM THE WRECKAGE, her feature-film adaptation of a hilarious and touching rock-musical stage play, written by teenagers:

FROM THE WRECKAGE Comparables: ONCE, JUNO, MOONLIGHT, LADY BIRD.

LOGLINE: In a conservative Catholic high school, two girls fall in love: ALICE, a misfit musician from a broken home, and NOAA, a reserved painter from a close-knit immigrant family. Their connection sparks them both to new creative heights: Noaa paints vivid murals and Alice writes a rock album. But being together has a cost, and their different backgrounds mean their stakes aren't equal. Young love, Queer joy, Divorce drama, Immigrant angst, Brave protest, Smartass teens, and Roof-shaking rock music. From the Wreackage: a rock musical (with no jazz hands)! Written by Toronto teenage girls as an act of protest against a homophobic school trustee.

Watching it onstage, Stamp laughed, and sobbed, and sang along... then optioned it immediately! The stage play went on to WIN an astonishing NINE awards. The film adaptation will be written & directed by Stamp, produced by 90th Parallel Productions (STUART HENDERSON and JAVIERA QUINTANA), and Executive Produced by Academy Award-winning filmmaker SARAH POLLEY.

Oh and one other thing you might want to know is that Stamp once set a Guinness World Record by playing dodgeball for 36 hours without sleeping. It says a lot about her but honestly she does not recommend you try it!
