David Strasser
British Columbia
David is an award-winning film & television director and executive producer, whose work is seen by global audiences on major networks like Hallmark Channel, Lifetime, Channel 4, TF1, and the W Network. With over two dozen films under his belt, David has directed across a range of genres including holiday, romance, mystery, and thriller. His latest projects include Nelly Knows Mysteries: A Fatal Engagement (2024) and the highly anticipated All I Need for Christmas (2024). Currently, he is both executive producing and directing the Hallmark original The Wish Swap.
David is an alumnus of the prestigious TIFF Filmmaker Lab, a JETS Talent Lab participant at the 68th Berlinale, and a Telus STORYHIVE Banff Fellowship recipient. His feature film projects have received development support from notable funding bodies like Telefilm Canada and Bell Media's Harold Greenberg Fund.
A graduate of Vancouver Film School with a specialization in Film Production, David also holds a Juris Doctorate from the Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia
