David Strasser
British Columbia
David is an award-winning film and television director and executive producer based in Vancouver, Canada. His work is showcased to global audiences on leading networks, including Hallmark Channel (U.S.), Lifetime Television (U.S.), Channel 4 (U.K.), TF1 (France), and W Network (Canada). His projects have earned multiple accolades, including nominations from the Canadian Screen Awards and the Leo Awards.
A prolific television movie director, David has helmed and executive produced numerous films across a range of genres, including holiday, romance, mystery, and thriller. He is currently directing and executive producing Nelly Knows Mysteries: All Manners of Murder (2025), the highly anticipated sequel starring Pascale Hutton and Kavan Smith. Most recently, he completed the Hallmark original The Wish Swap (2025) as both executive producer and director. Other notable credits include Nelly Knows Mysteries: A Fatal Engagement (2024), the Lifetime original Deadly Wives Club(2024), and Hallmark’s All I Need for Christmas (2024).
David is an alumnus of the TIFF Filmmaker Lab, a JETS Talent Lab participant at the 68th Berlinale, and a Telus STORYHIVE Banff Fellowship recipient. His feature film projects have received development support from Telefilm Canada and Bell Media’s Harold Greenberg Fund.
