Trish Neufeld

British Columbia

BC-based DGC director and producer Trish Neufeld works across award-winning documentary, true crime, and comedy. Her latest series, Thirst Trap: The Fame. The Fantasy. The Fallout (Paramount+, 2025), examines the complexities of internet fame and its consequences.

She directed and produced In Cold Water: The Shelter Bay Mystery (2024, Amazon Prime), which earned a Canadian Screen Award nomination and won five Leo Awards, including Best Direction and Best Series. Her debut feature, Dancing with Mom (2023), premiered at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, where it was nominated for Best Documentary Feature, and went on to win a Leo Award for Best Writing. Her second feature, LULU GURU: The Man Behind the Yoga Pants (2022), screened at the Whistler Film Festival’s FIRST LOOK program and has not been released despite industry insiders’ acclaim.

Trish also directed six seasons of CBC’s The New Wave of Standup, filmed live at Just For Laughs Vancouver and recognized with two episode nominations at the 2024 Canadian Screen Awards for Best Comedy Special. Her short documentary Save Space Nugget (2019) premiered at the World Community Film Festival before making her way into long-form storytelling.

She is currently in development on multiple projects, including A Lawyer on Trial, a hybrid docu-series with Great Pacific Media, and continues to bring a strong visual style and narrative drive to all her work.
