A proud member of both the Director’s Guild of Canada [1996] and the Director’s Guild of America [2003] Matt has participated in the making of over 200 feature films and thousands of hours of episodic television, since 1977, in his capacities as a Director, 2nd Unit Director, Stunt Coordinator and Actor. He made his feature debut with ‘a fish story’ [Canada, 2013] a multi-award-winning favorite of over 25 festivals in 2014, including Three Best Director awards at the Vancouver, Burbank, and Hollywood fests. At NBCU, SyFy, Netflix and Amazon among many others, Matt has brought The Recruit, Most Dangerous Game, Warehouse 13, Defiance, The Transporter and the award-winning web series Boombats, to the screen as both a Director and 2nd Unit Director. Other credits include Taken [NBCU], Hemlock Grove [Gaumont] and Gangland Undercover [History]. He has homes in Los Angeles and Toronto.
