Kevin Eastwood

Kevin is an award-winning writer, director and producer. Most recently he was the showrunner, co-creator and co-director of Wildfire, a critically-acclaimed documentary series that is currently nominated for a Rockie Award for Best Docuseries at the 2026 Banff World Media Festival and recently won the Golden Sheaf Award for Best Documentary Series at the Yorkton Film Festival. This marked his third series as series director, having previously helmed the award-winning documentary series British Columbia: An Untold History (Leo Award winner for Best Documentary Series, Best Direction & Best Writing in a Documentary) and Emergency Room: Life + Death at VGH (Leo Award winner for Best Documentary Series and the People's Choice Award for Most Popular TV Series). Other documentary credits as writer/director include The Society Page, for which Kevin won the Leo Award for Best Direction, the CBC documentaries, Humboldt: The New Season and After the Sirens (both nominated for Best Documentary Program at the Canadian Screen Awards) and the Telus Original, The Death Debate (Canadian Screen Award nominee for Best Direction). Kevin’s credits as a producer include the CBC Television series The Romeo Section from creator Chris Haddock (on which Kevin was also the second unit director); the CTV movie Elijah (Gemini Award Winner for Best TV Movie), and the feature films Preggoland directed by Jacob Tierney and starring Sonja Bennett, James Caan and Danny Trejo (TIFF, VIFF, Santa Barbara), and Fido starring Carrie-Anne Moss, Billy Connolly, Henry Czerny and Tim Blake Nelson (TIFF, Sundance, VIFF).
