Eva Tavares is an award-winning director, writer, and actor, hailing from Vancouver, BC. A graduate of the Women In The Director’s Chair Career Advancement Module for Female Directors, The Make Her Mark Program through the Hallmark channel, the Banff/Citadel Training Program, UBC Opera, and the LAMDA Short Course, Tavares is the true definition of a multi-hyphenate. As a producer, writer, and director, Tavares has had success in multiple arenas. Her directorial debut for Hallmark, The Christmas Baby, is showing on the network Christmas 2025. Her independent pieces have garnered global acclaim with a Leo nominated/ UBCP/ACTRA award winning short A Little Vacation (Director/Co-Writer/ Producer), and three music videos (I'm Still Here, Euphoria, and Lazy Sunday) for local artist Kristin Carter, in collaboration with Creative BC, Factor and the MVP Music Video Grant/Prism Prize. Other notable projects include award-winning short Hijack(Producer/Director's mentor/Co-Writer) and internationally recognized documentary Where Women Gather (Director/Editor). As an actor, you can see her in lead, supporting, guest star and principal roles in Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, Turner & Hooch, The Irrational, and countless MOW’s on Lifetime, UpTv and the Hallmark channel. In musical theatre, her recent credits include Christine in the Broadway North American tour of Phantom of the Opera, Sandy in Grease, Jovie in Elf, Maria in West Side Story, Anne in A Little Night Music, and Marta in Kiss of the Spider Woman, to name a few.
