Egidio Coccimiglio is a Toronto-Los Angeles based film director. He is most noted for the thriller feature films CASCADE and COMPULSION. CASCADE (Netflix, Amazon Prime) climbed to #9 on Netflix’s Top Ten list and won the People's Choice Award at the 28th Terra di Siena International Film Festival. It also earned a CSA nomination. COMPULSION (US Theatrical, Netflix, Amazon Prime) starring Heather Graham and Carrie-Anne Moss, was shot by the legendary Academy-Award winning cinematographer Vilmos Zsigmond and won both the Sanese D’Oro and Critic’s Award at the 17th Siena International Film Festival. Coccimiglio’s feature documentary BLAST’EM, which he co-directed, won the Grand Prix at Lisbon and the FIPRESCI prize at the Montreal World Film Festival. It is regarded as the original portrait of the paparazzi photographers of New York City. Coccimiglio also had the honor of serving as the late Norman Jewison’s director apprentice on his movie for Tri-Star, ONLY YOU, starring Robert Downey Jr. and Marisa Tomei.
