Darcy Hennessey

A former professional mountain biker, Darcy's work ranges from quirky shorts, to feature-length docs, to narrative shorts, to commercial spots for clients like Audi to Patagonia. Her films have played at hundreds of festivals worldwide, including Academy Award qualifying festivals Tribeca, Santa Barbara International Film Festival, and Telluride Mountainfilm. She was personally mentored by Darren Aronofsky as part of the Reykjavik International Film Festival Talent Lab in 2018. Darcy has received five coveted "Vimeo Staff Picks" and her first narrative short "Frances" was nominated for three Leos, including best film, best director, and best female performance (the latter it won). It was also a finalist for a Canne Indie Film award. In 2023 she was a DGC Greenlight Awards finalist in the established director category and in 2026 she was chosen as part of the DGC Director market accelerator delegation at the Cannes Film Festival for her first narrative feature film.
