Darcy Hennessey

A former professional mountain biker, Darcy's work ranges from quirky shorts, feature-length docs, narrative shorts, and commercial spots for clients like Audi to Patagonia. She was personally mentored by Darren Aronofsky as part of the Reykjavik International Film Festival Talent Lab in 2018. Darcy has received five coveted "Vimeo Staff Picks" and her first narrative short "Frances" was nominated for three Leos, including best film, best director, and best female performance (the latter it won). It was also a finalist for a Canne Indie Film award. In 2023 she was a DGC Greenlight Awards finalist in the established director category. Her films have screened in hundreds of festivals worldwide, and she looks forward to pushing her range as a director with new narrative and documentary projects.
