Caitlyn Sponheimer

Award-winning Canadian filmmaker Caitlyn Sponheimer is known for her work in front of and behind the camera. She is a Directors Guild of Canada nominee, ACTRA performance nominee, and one of six female directors on the Telefilm supported feature “Moving Day,” shooting 2026. Her directorial debut feature film, “Wild Goat Surf” (Telefilm/Crave) won multiple awards and theatrically opened Canada (Vortex Media) and the United States (Tribeca Films, Giant Pictures). Sponheimer’s notable film credits include “April in Autumn” (Cannes Marché), “Jasmine Road,” and the recent feature “Thanks to the Hard Work of the Elephants” (Locarno Award Winner). Her acting credits include “The Boys” (Amazon), “Transplant” (NBC), “Little Hope” (Supermassive Games, starring opposite Will Poulter) and “Wild Goat Surf”.
