Kylie Hitchcock

Kylie Hitchcock is an accomplished director and writer whose career spans over a decade, with work showcased at international festivals and on major networks. Most recently, she co-wrote and directed her second feature film, Reverence, a psychological thriller currently in post-production, and directed Abeyance, a proof-of-concept short for Silverayne Productions. Her proof-of-concept short, My Missing Year, a biopic written by Stephen Foster, won Best Short Drama at the 2025 Northern Virginia International Film Festival (US premiere), where she was also nominated for Best Director, short form.

Kylie has extensive on-set experience, including credits as 2nd Unit Director on Billy the Kid (MGM) and My Life with the Walter Boys (Netflix). She has logged thousands of hours working alongside acclaimed above-the-line creatives, including director Otto Bathurst (Peaky Blinders), whom she considers her greatest mentor.

Kylie’s earlier work has earned awards such as Best Direction, Best Drama, Best Comedy, and Artist of the Year, with films screened at a range of international festivals including the Edmonton International Film Festival, ICFF, Soho Film Festival, Hoboken International Film Festival and many more. A prolific screenwriter, Kylie has written and is developing a slate of feature and TV series.

Kylie is a member of the Directors Guild of Canada, and her formal training includes screenwriting programs at UCLA Extension and NYU Professional Studies. She also holds a Master of Education from the University of Tasmania. Before transitioning to the screen industry, Kylie worked as a professional chef and culinary instructor at the George Brown Chef School in Toronto and the City University of New York. Her adventurous spirit and diverse life experience continue to fuel her unique directorial vision.
